A day prior to D-Day!
About a month before our graduation day, a close friend of mine Eha texted me saying that Syira's boyfriend, Zaid texted her. We've heard about him from Syira and sometimes Zira but most of us have never met him. We do know what he looks like from Syira's FB, but we really dont know him. So when Eha told me that he texted her, it was kinda surprising.
It turns out, he was planning to surprise Syira with a birthday party and he wanted us, her classmates to join in, well, i guess because the more the merrier lah kan? Her birthday falls on the day before we would be awarded with a degree scroll, therefore the birthday party would also be a pre-grad party! Killing 2 birds with a stone or to be more precise sambil menyelam minum air ( betulkannn?) Hehe.
So we were pretty stoke about it! For one month, we tried our best to keep that secret stashed and hidden from Syira. Everytime someone start a conversation on our group Whatsapp, i would get nervous.. I dont know about others but I was sooo afraid that Amir, or Drake or Faris would blow the surprise... not that I dont trust them.. it's just sometimes they tend to joke around and the jokes might end up ruining everything... thankfully we succeeded, though Amir hampir made us sound suspicious and fishy..
We decided to have the party at the Tasik at Section 2 Shah Alam, kat Shah Alam ada a number of tasik buatan, all are beautiful and sangat selesa untuk spend your leisure time there. Tapi macam biasalah, mesti ada nyamuk (hotspot aedes pulak), so kena careful lah jugak.. The best part of the party was that Zaid asked us to be there lenggang kangkung, bawa diri je.. everything else, the food and drinks he'll be in charged of it... so since itu yg dia ckp so kitorang pun bawak perut kosong jelahhh.
And so, we finally met Zaid! He loaded out a lot of food from his car and we carried them to the awesome floating gazebo. It was perfect! He then off to Syira's to pick her up. In the mean time we met Zaid's best friend, Iqbal who later became our photographer of the day.
When the birthday girl came, she was surprised! She was more surprised to see US there! Haha. MISSION : SPLENDIDLY SUCCESSFUL!
After singing a birthday song, we help ourselves with the food! And after the meal, we had a pre-grad photography session with the robe and mortar boards! It's the highlight of the day!
By the end of the day, I was exhauted. That night, I had a fever. Patutla the whole day I was feeling not so energetic, rupanya demam, tapi since I didnt know about it, so I overworked myself.. no regrets! I had an awesome day! That's what matter most!
A few weeks later, Hazreen told me that she was hospitalized for a few days after our graduation day, she had a dengue fever.. thankfully she's all well now.
That day would have been perfect if Eha, Sarah, Amal, Jupa and Amir were there as well..
