My First Ever Real Job Experience

Wow. 6 months. I've been missing for half a year. Wow. Time sure flies..
Let's see what did i went through in the past 6 months...

Last April, i've got myself a job. A graduate management trainee for a local consultancy firm. Frankly, when i went to the interview, i have no idea what i was getting myself into. Absolutely no idea.

It was a scary roller coaster ride on my first day. I was excited, i was nervous, i was scared, i was puzzled, i was worried... a roller coaster. I report to the HQ in the morning, and they sent me to my project site in the afternoon. I went with one of my bosses. The ride was nerve-wrecking. He asked tonnes of questions that i dont have the answers to. Then as we arrived at the project site, after a very brief introduction, we straight ahead jumped into a meeting. There were so many things that i have to take in, jargons, concepts, they were speaking foreign and i realized i'm in huge trouble. I was drowning, couldnt breathe. When the meeting ended, the 2 guys were off, then there were confused me and the interviewer. Apparently she's the project manager aka my supervisor. She explained her expectations, she explained the project, she explained things. She gave me space and some oxygen to breathe. Thank God.

I went home that day. I cried. 'What have i got myself into?'
