I graduated!

*This post had been locked up in the draft for monthss.. simply because the pictures are saved in the camera and the camera isnt with me.. i guess i'll add them up somedayyyy...

So, here the story goes...

I graduated! Yeay!

Okaybye.

...............

Well of course that's not it. I'm Iman. There's no wayyy the story will be as short as that. Not in the virtual world and definitely not in the real world as well.

11th November 2013 (yeah, this post is like a month late, whateverlah)

It's the awaited day. The day I walked on the intimidating stage for the sake of a piece of paper (which in reality, an empty fancy file).

I was kinda afraid that i would make fool of myself on the stage, fortunately it went fast and without any mishaps, though after watching a video of me walking on the stage made me realized i walked so fast as if i had a huge scary dog chasing me.. And i was so focusing on reaching the small steps down the stage that i missed out the cameraman and kinda missed the one and only chance of having a great shot. This is what i ended up with..

Once i took my seat again, it was a different feeling i had. Relieved.Happy.Soooo gladddd. It finally felt like "I made it! "

I was seated a little bit away from my classmates. Which was a bit, urm, well, it would have been nicer if i was seated with them.. So, without caring much of the protocols and whatnot, i changed my seat. Well, i kinda moved around as i liked. I was mentally preparing myself in case of the staff approach me for a scold or perhaps an annoying nag, but there was no drama in action. Perhaps i was thinking too much. Yeah, so me.

................

From the way i see this, if i keep on writing in the details, this post could end up a meter long or longerrr?
I'll make this short-er.

.................

1. As i arrived to the hall, i took the elevator, and the first thing i saw once the doors opened were a chaotic lined up of people in their graduation robes. I went blank for a moment, didn't know what to do, where to go, and basically i didn't know what was going on. Was i panicking?

2. I saw a stand with numbers on it. As i walked i couldnt find my number and suddenly there was no more numbers to go to, so  I asked the lady in charge, "Saya baru sampai. Mana sepatutnya saya pergi?". She asked for my number and she said i was walking towards the wrong direction, the opposite direction. Then i felt like an idiot. It was very obvious that the numbers were arranged in ascending/descending order. And there i was, not knowing how to count. Haih. Where did my brain go?

3. As we were walking into the great hall, there was a camera broadcasting each one of us (800 plus graduates). I knew that my parents would be looking at it so without thinking much, when it was my turn in front of the camera, i smiled and waved to the camera (which later i realized that i might be the only one shameless enough to do that x_x ). Am i regretting it?

4. When it was my turn to receive my so called scroll, i made my stepped right away once i heard my name "Nur Iman" being called out. Perhaps i should hv waited the emcee to finished up pronouncing my full name before i start walking?

5. We bought sarah a gift (bracelet) to congratulate on her engagement. So we gathered around and surprised her with the gift. She asked me whether it was genuine (translates here: highly expensive). She was relieved it was not. She said if it was, she would have felt like a burden for having us to spend that much on her. Well, i think she didn't realize how much she's worth for us. We love you sarah, and there's no amount of money that could describe the value of our friendships. Cheezy much?Cliche?

6. Until the end of the ceremony, i couldn't find the emcee with the very macho-like voice. Where were you standing???

7. It was so difficult to have a group picture, but we got it! Though one person went missing.. It was regretful that we didnt hv a picture of the whole batch. There weren't that many of us, so it was kinda possible. I guess it was impossible after all.. Will we ever be together like that again?

8. I went out and was looking for my parents when suddenly i met with my exroommate, exclassmate, one of those playing 'gamelan' during the ceremony, thiethie! We had a nice chat didn't we? :)

9. While i was taking pictures with my parents (credit to thiethie for being the cameragirl), i then realized that my mum never had her graduation. She couldn't get a ticket to attend the ceremony. So i thought, she should at least have a picture with the mortar board on. How did it feel mama?

10. That day my parents went home to Kedah ( which was about 400km away from the ceremony), and i went home with my friend (Hazirah) for a sleepover. Her place was not so far away, but it took us quite a while to get there as we got lost on our way, i guess we must hv been very tired that our brain kinda slowed down. Hehe. We had a few fun days, right?

11. I think i should stop. This is long enough, right?

With that being said, I graduated! YEAYYYY!
"You did awesomeeee Iman!"
